We are all familiar with ads and hot women that are promoting and sexualizing themselves for the benefit of the brands. Every other week there’s a new type of advertising pushing us to buy God knows what, the only difference is who is promoting what and how. We all saw that a famous person can promote anything and make people want to buy it, Khloe Kardashian should know since, she last promoted protein popcorn and everyone went nuts about it. But today is not about that, it’s about Sydney Sweeney and her “jeans”.
After her success with the very popular teen series entitled ‘Euphoria’ she took a few months off in between filming, and during that few months when she went MIA she sure wasn’t relaxing on some beach with a margarita in hand flaunting her ‘jeans’ she was working with American Eagle on the next most controversial ad the year 2025 has seen.
On 23rd of July 2025 American Eagle released the ad campaign entitled ‘Sydney Sweeney has great jeans’ that portrayed Sydney stating the phrase ‘”Genes are passed down from parents to offspring… My jeans are blue.”. After the ad was released the controversy was worldwide. Some people say it’s nothing and that we see these type of ads all the time, some of them remembers the 90s ad that stated Brooke Shields sexualizing herself at only 16. And there’s the other people( mostly sad women) who went as far as judging her childhood and her morals saying her parents didn’t give her the education she needed to thrive in Hollywood.
Later Sydney gave us a response to all the hate she received saying she was busy filming Euphoria and mostly disconnected from her phone while the outrage was peaking. She stated, “I did a jean ad… I knew at the end of the day what that ad was for, and it was great jeans, it didn’t affect me one way or the other.” Good for you girl. In a later exclusive interview, Sydney explained why she chose to speak out. She noted that she realized her initial silence had only “widened the divide, not closed it.” She emphasized, “Many have assigned motives and labels to me that just aren’t true,” and expressed hope that people would focus on what connects rather than divides them.

I mean just look at that pic, our girl ate out with this, as a women to hate on another women just because she look gorgeous its just really lame and sad. Personally I think she didn’t deserve an ounce of the hate she got and still gets thanks to ‘Euphoria’. She works her ass of to hit her milestones and she’s looking amazing doing it. Just because sad people sexualize her doesn’t mean she sexualizes herself or that she is asking for attention. She is an actress she is playing a role that’s her job and we should stop hating on women based on the role they have to play. That doesn’t define who they are as a person.
Hope I gave you a new perspective on this scandal. Till next post babes.
